FACTORS CORRELATE TO FISH CONSUMPTION AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN 1 – 2 YEAR IN KECAMATAN GANDUS PALEMBANG CITY.

Background. Children in age 1 – 2 year are in growth susceptible to malnutrition. The food consumption especially energy and protein intake factos attack to nutritional status. One of the alternative way to full fill the children nutrient needs comes from fish. The purpose of this study is to find one the factors correlate to fish consumption and nutritional status of children in age 1 – 2 year in Kecamatan Gandus Palembang city in 2005.
Method. This using using the case control. The data collected were nutritional status wihich in determinand with Z-score of weigth and body length of children 1 – 2 year, direct intervies have been done to investigate factors fish consumption as well as social economic, level of education and children preferences of fish. The data analysis including univariate analysis (mean, SD, minimum and maksimum value), bivariate analysisi with chi square, multivariate analysis with logistic regression.
