DETERMINATION OF EXPECTED TRADITIONAL STREET FOOD COMBINATION TO FULFILL ENERGY AND PROTEIN REQUIREMENT ON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN PALEMBANG

Background : Elementary school children usually choose street foods with poor nutrient content. Therefore energy and protein contribution of street foods to daily requirement is low. Street foods is expected to fulfill the lack of daily food energy and protein consumption. This study was aimed to determine combination of traditional street foods consumption in school age children in Palembang.
Method : The study design was an observational study using cross sectional approach. A total of 96 students from 3 elementary school participated in the study. Statistic test was conducted to discuss the study result. Bivariate analysis using Rank Spearman Correlation test was conducted to measure association between  pocket money and nutrition knowledge. Multiple Linear Regression was used to measure multivariate association between variables.
