Background: Calcium reqquirement during adolescence is higher than the other period of life. Several studies showed that adolescents’ calcium intake was relatively low, which may result in the higher risk of lower bone density
Objectives: To identify factors associated to adolescents’ bone density.
Method: The method of this study was survey with a cross sectional approach. The population of study were of SMAN 3 Semarang student in grade 1st and 2nd. Eighty subjects were drawn through a simple random sampling. Characteristics data, sport habits, caffeinated and carbonated drink comsumption collected by questionnaire, protein, calcium, phosphor, and sodium intake by semi quantitative FFQ and bone density by densitometry. Data analyzed by t-Test, Pearson Product Moment and Rank Spearman Tests.
